Young people from across the Northern Beaches have shared their ideas, concerns and solutions for the future at the fifth annual Have Your Say Day, backed by more than 2,300 survey responses from locals aged 12 to 24.

This annual youth-led initiative provides a platform for young people across the Northern Beaches to engage directly with elected leaders, youth sector professionals, and community members on important topics impacting them. 

This year’s presentations and survey results captured in the Have Your Say Day Report 2026 highlight the issues local young people say most matter to them, including transport, mental health, the environment, cost of living, social safety, addiction, education, digital media and access to safe, affordable places to connect.

This yearly survey provides the youth sector and community leaders with a real-time snapshot of the views of local young people, the issues that are impacting them and asks for solution-based approaches to combat these issues. 

The 2026 report is the third time the youth survey results have been presented in this way, forming a valuable resource that aims to inform policy and strategic decision-making relevant to young people in our community.
