Freshie beachgoers will soon have new, purpose-built public toilet block, with construction set to begin at Freshwater Beach in August 2026.

The new standalone complex will make a day at the beach easier, more convenient and more accessible for everyone, from swimmers and surfers to families, visitors and the wider community.

In a first for Northern Beaches public toilets, the facility will include a toddler-specific toilet, helping make beach days that little bit easier for families with young children.

Ideally located near the new playground at the northern end of Freshwater Beach Reserve, the building will also include accessible toilets, a family change room and unisex handwashing facilities.

Freshwater Beach and reserve are much-loved community spaces, welcoming locals and visitors all year round. The new building will provide practical, family-friendly facilities to support people of all ages enjoying the beach, playground and reserve.

The project is part of the broader improvements being delivered through the Freshwater Beach Masterplan, helping one of the Northern Beaches’ most popular coastal destinations keep pace with how the community uses the area today and into the future.

The facilities are expected to be completed in Autumn 2027, subject to weather conditions.
