Artist Residency recipient Remi Siciliano will present a special exhibition at Eramboo Artist Environment in Terrey Hills from 22 June to 6 July 2026, showcasing work developed during her six-month residency.

Titled Erosion Studies, the exhibition features a series of photographic and photo-sculptural experiments inspired by the movement and dynamic qualities of the Northern Beaches’ coastal geology. 

The works investigate how natural processes such as erosion and transformation can shape artistic outcomes.

Siciliano’s practice focuses on dissolving traditional boundaries between artist, subject and environment. Their work explores collaborative processes involving both human and non-human elements, with the darkroom functioning as a site of experimentation and unpredictability. 

Materials gathered from the surrounding landscape are incorporated into the photographic process, allowing natural forces such as chance and erosion to influence the final images.

The Northern Beaches Council Artist Residency Program, delivered in partnership with Eramboo Artist Environment since 2013, supports mid-career artists by providing time, space and resources to develop their practice drawing inspiration from the surrounding Ku-ring-gai National Park. 

The residency offers free non-residential studio space at Eramboo, along with access to professional development opportunities and creative networks. Participants also receive a $3,000 materials allowance to support the creation of new work.
