Children’s brains develop faster in the first 5 years of their life that at any other time, with 90% of brain development occurring during these early years.
Council’s educators understand just how crucial these first years are and are passionate about creating rich learning and play opportunities for all children in their care.
This Wednesday, 3 September, join in celebrating Early Childhood Educators’ Day on the Northern Beaches. It’s a day to recognise and celebrate the role our educators play in supporting children’s wellbeing, learning and development.
An educator’s role goes far beyond teaching - they are mentors, carers, advocates and role models. One of the most important roles our they play is supporting local children in their transition to school.
By building confidence, encouraging independence and nurturing social and emotional skills, our educators ensure that children are not only ready for the next step in their education, but also excited and well prepared to embrace it.
We’re proud of our Children’s Services team who bring creativity, patience and compassion to every interaction.
Our educators also help to foster strong connections and partnerships with our community, making a lasting difference in the lives of local children and their families every day.
So, to all our dedicated early childhood educators, thank you! And happy Educator’s Day.
