Northern Beaches Council is proud to celebrate Family Day Care Educator Yasuko Kinoshita, who has been recognised as the Family Day Care Australia Regional Winner for North Shore & Northern Beaches!

Yasuko, affectionately known to her little learners as “Yaya”, is one of 17 outstanding educators nominated from the Northern Beaches Council Family Day Care, alongside our service and 2 dedicated coordinators, all of whom have been recognised in the 2025 Excellence in Family Day Care Awards.

Since opening Sakura Kids Family Day Care in 2016, Yasuko has created a unique, bilingual learning environment where children experience both Japanese and Australian languages, values and cultures.

Operating with just 4 children per day, Yasuko provides personalised care, giving each child the attention and support they need to thrive. This excellence reflects the broader quality of our service - Northern Beaches Council Family Day Care is proudly rated as Exceeding the National Quality Framework.
