Northern Beaches. Care And Respond. End Suicide

NB Cares is a community-led local suicide prevention network working together to reduce suicide and its impacts in the community, including stigma.

We are in the process of developing a comprehensive action plan with short-term and long-term goals, activities and projects.

The main objectives of the network:

  • Be a trusted source of information for the community
  • Reduce stigma through building awareness and education
  • Connect and collaborate with the community and services
  • Advocate and enable creative and innovative initiatives

NB Cares works alongside current suicide prevention initiatives including Community Gatekeeper Training and the Northern Beaches Suicide Response Steering Group led by Police, Council, Health, lived experience members and key local services.
