The Northern Beaches Council brings together the former Manly, Pittwater and Warringah Councils following the NSW Government's Council Boundary Review.
The Administrator, Dick Persson, AM and the General Manager, Mark Ferguson, have been appointed to oversee the implementation of the new Council through to the local elections in September 2017.
The Northern Beaches Council was proclaimed on 12 May 2016 through the amalgamation of the former Manly, Warringah and Pittwater local government areas.
A draft Implementation Plan has been developed to establish the strategic direction for the new council for the period leading up to the September 2017 council elections.
The Plan builds on the large foundation of work undertaken by each of the former councils prior to Proclamation and sets out the governance structure, principles, methodology and key actions for Phase 1 to manage the implementation of the new council.
